Orange Tree Dental has seen many changes since its first incarnation in the 1920s! What will the future hold?…
2023 – Dr Alison Crellin retires after nearly 40 years at the practice! We are very pleased to welcome associate dentists Dr Dominic Oxford and Dr Peter Mears as they join the team. New and improved air conditioning units are installed in every surgery. Seville Surgery is refurbished with a new dental chair and flooring. Our digital scanning software is upgraded for even better results.
2022 – Samantha Vodden and Sarah Leggett complete their training and qualify as Dental Nurses. Covid measures are eased at the practice.
2021 – We say a sad goodbye to our hygienist Kerry. After many years helping patients fight gum disease (more than 10 of those years at Orange Tree Dental) she decided it was time to take on new challenges away from dentistry. Emma extends her hours to take on Kerry’s patients, alongside her own.
2020 – After too many years to count, Julie hangs up her alginate mixing spatula and begins a well earned retirement. Sarah Leggett joins the practice as a Trainee Dental Nurse. Covid-safe measures installed at the practice including ventilation in all treatment areas.
2019 – Denplan Excel re-certification achieved. Samatha Vodden joins the practice as a trainee Dental Nurse.
2018 – Digital intra-oral scanner and electronic signature pads installed. Tim Quarmby becomes a Denplan Practice Advisor
2017 – 2nd CQC inspection passed with extra notable areas of practice.
2016 – Sally Marwood joins the practice as a Dental Nurse. Emma Clayton joins the practice as a Dental Therapist.
2015 – Karan and Sam both qualify as Oral Health Educators. Charlotte Oxford joins the practice as an Associate Dentist.
2014 – Dr Susan Marsden joins us from Malton as an Associate Dentist
2013 – Orange Tree Dental Practice is renamed Orange Tree Dental. CQC inspection passed first time!
2012 – Dr Robert Quarmby retires after nearly 30 years at the practice. Dr Rebecca Quarmby joins the partnership
2011 – Dr Tim Quarmby’s wife, Dr Rebecca Quarmby, joins the Orange Tree Dental Practice as an associate. Tim and Rebecca complete their exams to become Members of the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners of the Royal College of Surgeons
2010 – Dr Ramsey Smith retires after nearly 40 years! Dr Rob Quarmby’s son, Dr Tim Quarmby, joins the partnership. Kerry Robinson also joins the practice providing dental hygiene services. Samantha Atkinson joins the practice as a Dental Nurse.
2006 – Orange Tree Dental Practice achieves Denplan Excel Certification. Karen Baker joins the practice as a Dental Nurse
2004 – The practice leaves the NHS, embracing Denplan’s code of practice and commitment to quality and patient care. Julie Buyar joins the practice as a Dental Nurse
2003 – Shelley Ross joins the practice as a Dental Nurse
2002 – Helen Gledhill joins the practice as a Receptionist
1997 – Carol Kennedy joins the practice as a Dental Nurse
1990 – A new chapter starts as the practice moves to a larger premises at 19 Middle Street South. It is renamed the Orange Tree Dental Practice
1986 – Mr Godsmark retires and Dr Alison Crellin joins the practice
1983 – Mr Duggleby retires and Dr Robert Quarmby joins the practice
1972 – Dr Ramsey Smith joins the practice
1956 – Practice bought by Mr Ernest Duggleby and Mr Frank Godsmark
1920’s – The Dental Practice is established at 56 Middle Street South by Mr Ostick
